A death café is where people gather, they drink coffee, eat cake and discuss death. The aim of a death café is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their lives.
A death café is simply a discussion about death and the most pertinent parts to you. The café itself has no particular agenda, objectives or themes. It is not designed to sell, or be a grief support, or counselling session.
We offer an accessible respectful and confidential space for any questions you may have.
We don’t need the people who visit us to come to a conclusion, or purchase a product, but hopefully walk away with a broader view on what the requirements are in New Zealand around death, and to understand what our range of choices are in New Zealand and more specifically South Taranaki available to us.
Café Date: Tuesday 7th September 2021, commencing at 3pm.
Venue: Hardings Funerals – 17 Regent Street Hawera
